In the midst of all the anticipation about Apple's anticipated Kindle Killer announcement anticipating shipment on a date we would anticipate to fall, well, after January 27, New York Times tech columnist David Pogue has taken a walk down memory lane to revisit the nooK, the big Kindle Killer of 2009 from Barnes and Noble.
Well, call it more of a weigh-in than a visit. And it turns out, according to Pogue, that Barnes & Noble was intentionally misleading the world about the weight of the nooK. The company claimed that its ereader weighs 11.2 ounces, but it actually weighs 12.1 ounces. (These things can be important if you are paying the freight on a return.)
Here's a link to Pogue's story, sweetly entitled "Bogus Tech Measurements."
